Before the fit out starts, Site visits start. If you have the time and budget, a Site Visit Program is worth the effort.
There are two types of Site Visits you can organize. The first for the Leadership teams and then the more frequent Site Visits for the employee groups.
It’s really powerful to show the Leadership Team and employees the new building and where they will work in the future. Some people have difficulty in seeing the big picture, so a way to show that things will be different, and how they may be different is important.
The Project Control Group may have a Design Presentation at the new building, the Leadership Team may have an Open House event with a further presentation and the remainder of the staff may have a floor walk and virtual tour of the future bells and whistles.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of a structured Open House and Site Visit.

The FM plays a key role in an accommodation project. In some businesses they may be part of the Project Working Group (PWG), or in others, may play the role of Workplace Strategist, Project Director, and Change Manager.
Whatever the structure of your project team, it is important to know the FM may have more information on the way the business operates on a day to day basis than others in the PWG and will be key to the success of the project.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of the role of the FM when joining the Project Team and how the FM is vital to the project.

The Execution phase can go over several months prior to the relocation itself, and can be a time that training is delivered, introduction of service (for example, bringing in a new supplier or print process), and doing the last procurement exercises, such as Welcome Pack gifts.
There is much to the role of the FM in the Execution phase of the project.
The FM knows more than any other member of the Project working Group as they have been managing the building and have strong relationships with employees.
In this course, you will gain an understanding of how much the FM and their team is across during the project period.
