Relocation Plan (Move Schedule)
The Move Schedule is a single source document used to sequence essential relocation project delivery milestones. It will chronicle the tasks and sequence necessary to keep the relocation on track, including which stakeholders are responsible for the input and output.
The Move Schedule is prepared by the relocation project manager with input from relocation committee members. It is the source document that the relocation project manager relies on most in the months leading up to, the week of, and the day of the relocation.
The relocation project manager will use the Move Schedule as a reporting mechanism for the relocation committee and the content thereof should be a standard feature in the relocation committee meeting agendas. There will be activities in the Move Schedule that will impact and require action from all members of the relocation committee.
Over the lifecycle of a relocation, over 35 consulting hours are spent preparing, updating and finalising the Move Schedule.
Who's involved? The relocation project manager.
