SKILLINGS Education and REIACT announce new commercial learning collections for ACT professionals

Published December 8, 2025 · 5 min read

SKILLINGS Education has entered a new partnership with the Real Estate Institute of the ACT (REIACT), with two co-branded commercial learning collections set to launch in January 2026.

A Strategic Partnership for Commercial Capability

REIACT and SKILLINGS Education have partnered to address identified capability gaps within the ACT market by delivering structured, practical learning pathways tailored to local professional needs.

The partnership focuses on improving access to practical, commercial real estate training for ACT professionals — an area that has not benefited from the same level of educational focus as the residential space.

REIACT and SKILLINGS Education share a commitment to lifting capability across the ACT market by providing accessible, industry-aligned learning pathways.

‍Two New Commercial Learning Collections

As part of the partnership, SKILLINGS Education will deliver two structured learning pathways:

  • Commercial Foundations — an introductory pathway for professionals moving into commercial roles or expanding beyond residential.
  • Transitioning Across Commercial Property — designed for mid-career practitioners stepping into more strategic or analytical commercial responsibilities.

The collections draw from SKILLINGS Education’s broader course library and have been curated specifically to address capability gaps identified within the ACT market.

Flexible Access for Members and Non-Members

Both programs will be available to REIACT members and non-members, with discounted pricing for members. Each collection will be delivered online and include guided modules, resources and a Certificate of Completion.

Why This Matters for the ACT Property Sector

The ACT continues to see increased demand for commercial leasing, asset management and advisory capability — particularly as agencies diversify service lines and government tenants shift requirements. In addition, as mixed-use commercial and residential buildings become more common, there is an increasing need for practitioners to be cross-skilled to ensure the effective management of both tenancy types operating within the same premises.

The partnership aims to provide a clear entry point for newcomers and a structured development pathway for those progressing into more complex commercial roles.

Launch Timeline and Next Steps

The REIACT Learning Collections will go live in January 2026. Detailed course information, enrolment links and module outlines will be published closer to launch.
