How SKILLINGS Education Courses Count:
Professional Development Only

QLD CPD is set by the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT), not REIQ. From 6 June 2025, licence and registration holders must complete two approved CPD sessions each CPD year—either one Type 1 and one Type 2, or two Type 1 sessions. Your CPD year is based on the anniversary of your licence or registration issue date (use the OFT CPD calculator to confirm).

SKILLINGS Education courses cannot be claimed for QLD CPD compliance. They’re professional development to sharpen skills, standardise team practice, onboard new hires, and lift performance. Do not represent SKILLINGS Education courses as QLD CPD-compliant or as endorsed by REIQ. For licence CPD, book OFT-approved CPD sessions with an eligible provider (REIQ is one of several). We’re exploring partnerships with eligible providers so selected SKILLINGS Education content could be delivered as Type 2 CPD; we’ll update this page if that becomes available.

Who Can Deliver CPD That Counts
Only OFT-eligible/approved providers. (OFT provides “Apply to deliver CPD training” guidance; eligible categories include RTOs, industry bodies, and government departments.)
Can SKILLINGS Education Courses Count?
No — Not QLD CPD-compliant at present. In QLD, SKILLINGS Education currently provides professional development only. We’re exploring partnerships so our commercial content can be delivered as Type 2 CPD; we’ll update this page if this changes.
How to Claim/Recording Keeping
Complete CPD with an approved/eligible provider and keep evidence. Licensees must retain CPD records for 5 years (per the Act). Renewal forms require you to declare CPD compliance.
Types of Activities Accepted

Type 1 accredited/CPD-version units; Type  2 industry-skills sessions.

Delivery method depends on the approved session (face-to-face or online as approved by OFT).

Evidence Needed
Provider completion evidence/certificate (session name, date, duration). Keep for 5 years.
Assessment Required
Varies by session (e.g., accredited Type 1 units include assessment; Type 2 as specified by the approved session).
