ACT real-estate CPD is set by Access Canberra (Commissioner for Fair Trading). Class 1 & 2 licensees and assistant agents must complete 12 CPD points in the 12 months before renewal, drawn from at least two categories, and one must be Category 3 (assessed). You must also keep a CPD log and evidence; up to 11 surplus points may carryforward for 12 months.
We deliver Category 2 (interactive) CPD with genuine learner participation and a competent trainer-of-record (e.g., experienced industry expert/leading trainer), consistent with the ACT Guideline. Category 3 (assessed) must be completed with an accredited training organisation; we don’t deliver that component. Our courses are designed to align with the Guideline’s identified learning areas (e.g., ethics, legislation, trust accounting, tenancy/property management, sales, commercial, rural). We’re exploring partnerships so selected commercial content can be offered as the Category 3 CPD activities, and we’ll update this page if that changes.
Cat 1: self-paced (seminars, videos, on-the-job with new competencies).
Cat 2: interactive workshops/forums/web-tools where the learner inputs responses (often delivered by lawyers, accountants, auditors, valuers, renowned experts).
Cat 3: assessed units contributing to a recognised qualification.
